Vase with Two Women - Red Eosin

Two graceful figures emerge in relief from the surface of this Zsolnay vase, their forms wrapped in the shimmering iridescent Eosin glaze that made the Hungarian manufactory legendary. The signature Eosin glaze shifts between red and purple as light moves across it, giving each piece a unique depth.

Founded in Pécs in 1853, Zsolnay perfected the Eosin lustre technique during the Art Nouveau era, and this figural vase carries that heritage forward. The deep relief of the two women catches and holds the glaze's metallic sheen, turning a decorative object into a sculptural statement.

Originally designed by Lajos Mack, one of Zsolnay's most celebrated Art Nouveau sculptors, this figural vase reflects the sensuous, flowing style that defined the manufactory's turn-of-the-century golden age.

Whether displayed on a mantel, a console table, or within a curated collection, this vase works as beautifully on its own as it does among other Zsolnay pieces.
