A single fluid moment captured in porcelain: the Fisher Woman is a sculptural centerpiece in which a graceful figure leans out over a cresting wave, reaching toward the water below. 

This is Zsolnay at its most expressive, bringing the sophistication of 19th century European design into a contemporary home. The flowing lines and figural subject are hallmarks of Art Nouveau and the Hungarian Secession styles the manufactory helped define.

Draping the entire form is Zsolnay's celebrated Eosin glaze catches the light as you move around the piece. Introduced by Vilmos Zsolnay in 1893, the Eosin lustre technique remains a closely guarded secret of the manufactory in Pécs.

At 34cm across, the Fisher Woman is a true statement piece — as much a collectible sculpture as a decorative bowl.
