Bringing Hungarian Art to the United Arab Emirates

The Sharjah Heritage Days are an event series that started in 2003 representing a cultural platform with deep roots in the UAE, Gulf and Arab cultural and social scene. This year, Zsolnay was honored to be selected as the representation of Hungarian art during this event in March 2023.

Two of our talented Zsolnay artists joined the exhibition and allowed visitors an insight into the creation of our unique porcelain pieces. Visitors from all over the world experienced the Zsolnay universe at our exclusive booth in the Sharjah Heritage district.

A Historic Connection

It is widely known that the Zsolnay family took inspiration from their travels to the Middle East. This is reflected in the countless Zsolnay forms and patterns that have evolved over the last 170 years. These unique pieces by Zsolnay perfectly represented the craftsmanship of Hunagrian art and the impact of Arab influences on our manufacture.

We would like to than Mr Abdul Aziz Al Musallam, Chairperson of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, for inviting us to participate in this important cultural event. The beauty of Zsolnay porcelain was taken in by visitors and we hope to have inspired all of them.
